ERP Software Engineer

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Consistently deliver complex, innovative, and complete solutions, driving them through all phases of the software development lifecycle following agile principles
- Develop software solutions leveraging established Chevron technology standards. Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop new standards and reusable components
- APIs design and implementation across platforms and solutions
- Work with different teams and IT partners in various locations providing software engineering services to internal customers, such as: Problem / requirements analysis
- Use cases automation and incident resolution programming
- Unit testing, Functional, integration and user acceptance testing support, including defect resolution
- Technical documentation; Code quality review
- Keep abreast with new technologies used by Chevron (i.e. Fiori, SAP Cloud Platform, HANA, Azure)
Required Qualifications:
- Student or B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Experience in object-oriented design and programming, (i.e. ABAP, Java; .Net, C#, according the position)
- Ability to work effectively on teams, respecting other opinions, valuing diversity, building consensus and assisting others to accomplish team's goals and objectives
- Quick to learn technical standards and policies, skills and technologies to address team's capability needs
- Passionate in learning and exploration initiatives
- Proficient English skills: Ability to communicate in oral and written forms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Ansible, Jenkins, and/or Azure Dev-Ops
- Scripting automation (i.e. Worksoft, UiPath, PowerShell)
- Service Now Incident and Change Management development practices
- Experience in developing / updating / fitting programs for SAP on HANA
- Knowledge on other programming languages / integration platforms and operations: (i.e. Azure API Management, Azure DevOps, Ansible, .Net, C#, JavaScript, etc.)
- SAP application development (including problem, requirements, risks/benefits analysis and technical documentation)
- Cybersecurity: Awareness on practices to identify and remediate code vulnerabilities
- Experience and/or knowledge in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe)
