Apply Job ID R000003368 Date posted 12/28/2020The Chevron Business Support Center located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position of Optimization Specialist. Successful candidates will join the Procurement Shared Services Center, which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 500 employees that delivers business services and solutions across the globe since 2006.
Responsible for transforming procurement business processes to shared services process model. Working in a multi-disciplinary and cross functional team, that requires forward thinking and a vision for simplifying procurement as a function and leveraging procurement technology.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Support the rollout of major process or system and may function in one or more of the following capacities: training, process documentation, process design, testing, change management, issue resolution and go-live and hypercare support
- Participates in prosses design and process documentation using approved standards
- Develops a detailed implementation plan
- Handles parallel activities which can include simultaneous implementation of other processes, systems or to multiple locations.
- Executes implementation plan according to approved process designs.
- Builds partnerships with key stakeholders that allows adequate capture of processes including its nuances, that facilitates timely issue resolution and transition support from business.
- Monitors process stabilization by reviewing key performance metrics prior to transferring the process to the operation teams
- Anticipates potential issues and escalates to appropriate team for resolution.
- Monitors any issues, defects and enhancements until resolved. Keeps the team informed and provides regular updates.
- Develops training materials and conducts actual training and knowledge transfer to operations team and other interested parties
- Identifies and implements process change or system enhancements based on lessons learned from testing and shadowing and initiates action and documentation updates.
- Responsible for change management related to project implementation, process improvement, process changes or enhancement
- Actively engage and communicate to stakeholders for any upcoming changes related to process or process handover related activities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in systems implementations (e.g. JD Edwards or SAP).
- Advanced/bilingual level of English
- Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of root cause analysis, incident management and problem resolution
- Principles of quality management and risk management; knowledge of business process mapping, re-engineering and documentation control.
- Ability to analyze, investigate, and resolve business problems using creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate initiative by being proactive in work duties; has strong influencing, communication, planning and customer engagement skills and use independent judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Ariba
