Associate, Retail Automation
Apply Job ID R000002835 Date posted 12/28/2020Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Associate, Retail Automation located in Hong Kong Manulife Financial Centre, Hong Kong.
Apply Responsibilities include but not limited to:
System Implementation and Provide On-going Support
- Implement retail automation technology/system within the geography.
- Provide on-going support/maintenance to the automation system, to ensure that it matches expectations to service level agreements.
- Execute software and hardware rollout plans in accordance with local marketing requirements and corporate standards.
- Conduct testing/diagnostic to new system/software patches and follow-ups in regards to the occurrence of system issue (if any).
- Provide day-to-day technical assistance and problem solving to local and escalate to the region where required.
- Forecast and keep trace spare parts pool to meet support requirement.
Support Internal Partners
- Liaise and provide supports to International IT and other relevant parties (Retail System Support, IFCS Card system team, LG and ePayment team, networking, C&I…etc) in design, testing, training and commissioning of new technologies/system.
- Assist local marketing team (e.g., Marketing Activation team, Card Sales team…etc) in implementing business tactics/strategies.
Vendor Management & Support External Partners
- Monitor and manage the performance of vendors and third party service providers.
- Provide assistance to vendors in regards to installation, maintenance, helpdesk, field services, training, testing and ad hoc services.
Other Routine/Ad Hoc & Admin Services
- Handle price change and discount update in the Point of Sales and LG system together with related administrative process.
- Coordinate with Procurement team on equipment purchasing and contract renewal process.
- Keep abreast of International IT and local management regarding changes in local market on Retail Automation and recommend strategy/tactic for improvement.
- Monitor OPEX and capital budget and provide recommendation on cost saving measures.
- Attend monthly Retailer Meeting
Compliance & Operational Excellence (OE)
- Coordinate with retail operation, and if required, other cross functional units to ensure all aspects of Retail Automation system are in compliance with corporate IP guideline, SOX, as well as local standards.
- Cascade and enforce Operational Excellence (OE requirement to service providers.
- Execute Safeguard tools to eliminate potential losses in day-to-day business/operational work activities.
- Document the workflow or agreed procedures in system flowchart
Required Qualifications:
- Education: University graduates (candidates with more junior academic qualifications but better experience could also be considered)
- Prefer 5-10 years of experience in IT-system support related areas
- Strong Problem Solving Skills
- Strong Computer Knowledge (hardware/software/networking)
- Process Management: Important
- Teamwork: Important
- Compliance and/or Audit experience: Desirable

- Willingness to work in odd hours when required
- Good communication skills both internally and externally
- Ability to manage and drive vendors and third-party service providers
- Ability to provide preliminary diagnostic for the systems
