Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Finance Analyst located in Makati City, Philippines.

As a Finance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to provide a full range of finance, accounting and analytical services to Chevron’s many business units located around the world. Accounts Payable Operations - Responsible for vendor data management. Ensures timely settlement and transmission of payment instructions to the bank.  Handles the administration and accounting for the company’s global business and travel expenses

Accounts Payable Process Management – Responsible for the timely and accurate recording of invoices, payment requests, credit memos, and adjustment requests across Europe, North America, Australasia and Asia Pacific 

Financial Accounting and Reporting – Responsible for project and fixed assets accounting, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, inventory and product costing

Cash and Receivables – Process leader in safeguarding the cash and receivables assets of Chevron through operational excellence and exercise of fiduciary oversight

Intercompany Accounting – Supports intercompany processes by providing reliable and cost-efficient operations to Chevron entities

International Upstream Accounting – Supports international upstream business units spanning across Europe, Eurasia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Canada

Supply and Trading Finance – Supports trading activities in multiple countries providing general accounting services, inventory accounting and analysis, cash forecasting, accounts reconciliation, portfolio analysis all the way to profit/loss analysis.

Business Analysis and Support – Aids the operation by providing accurate and timely reports, skilled people in various projects, and other interventions to ensure smooth flow of Finance operations.

Required qualifications:

  • BS in Accountancy or Major in Accountancy; BS in Accounting Technology
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Audit
  • CPA, preferred but not required
  • Experience in one or more of the following systems, an advantage: SAP, JDE, Ariba, Hyperion, Essbase
  • Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Willing to work in day shift or mid shift

Accounting – The ability to apply accounting policies and principles to properly record, report and maintain financial data associated with operational activities

Analysis and problem-solving – The ability to analyze financial information, select and gather data, and recommend or determine a course of action

Teamwork – A strong commitment to maintain collaborative working relationships with internal partners and external customers

Leadership – The ability to handle multiple job responsibilities, set priorities, maintain a high level of accomplishment, and implement process improvements

Communication – The ability to listen carefully and to use clear, concise oral and written skills to convey facts, present positions and interpret policies

Technology – The ability to use sophisticated software and tools such as Microsoft Excel and knowledge/exposure to data analytics, robotic process automation (RPA) is preferred but not required.
